The Heart Rhythm Society's authored and/or endorsed clinical guidelines and documents provide expert guidance on issues such as improving patient care and staying up-to-date on the latest in clinical practice and research. Released at Heart Rhythm 2009, the Heart Rhythm Society's 30th Annual Scientific Sessions:
"HeartRhythm will have three focus issues in 2010: atrial fibrillation in September, sudden cardiac arrest in October and implantable cardioverter defibrillators in December. Original clinical or basic articles on any aspect of those topics must be submitted by March 1, April 1 and June 1, respectively, to be considered for those issues. Please indicate in your cover letter that you wish your article to be considered for that particular focus issue.
"The number of articles accepted will determine how much of the journal will be devoted to that topic. We will also invite one or two experts to write commentaries and have special edition podcasts of the outstanding articles.
"I look forward to receiving high quality papers in these three critical areas. Inquiries can be addressed to: jzipes@iupui.edu."
